මතක ගීතය නිර්මාණය කරන්නෙ අභිශේකා විමලවීර මහත්මිය. ගායනයට එතුමිය සමඟ කරුණාරත්න දිවුල්ගනේ මහත්මා දායක වෙයි. 


මෙහි අර්තය මට දැනෙන ආකාරයට සරලව සලකා බලමු.

ලන්තෑරුමකින් සම්පූර්ණ ආලෝකයක් නැති ආලෝකයක් තමයි විහිදෙන්නෙ. මේ ගීතයේ මතක ලන්තෑරුම් අදුරක හුස්මේ සුවඳ දැනුනා යන්නෙන් අදහස් කරන්නෙ තාමත් ලාවට වගේ ආදරයේ සුවද දැනෙන බවයි. මෙතනදි පිරිමියාගේ හුස්ම සුවඳ ගැන වර්ණනාවක් කරයි.

මුරුගසන් වැස්සක් යනු , විනාශකාරී බලපෑම් ඇති වැස්සක් .  දෙන්නෙක් ගෙ ආදර කතාවක් මැද්දට ආව හදිසි කරදරයක් නිසා තනි වුනු කාන්තාවක් ගැන මෙතනදි කියවේ...

සුදු කමිස උරහිසට රිදුණා


කාන්තාවගේ විලාපයට පිලිතුරු ලෙස පිරිමි පුද්ගලයා විසින් මේ කොටස ගායනා කරයි. මෙහිදී ඔහු පවසන්නෙ ඇයට එපමණ දුකක් නොදීමට පෙරාතුව මෙම සම්බන්ධය පවා දුර දිග නොගෙන්න තිබ්බායැයි ය. කෙසේ නමුත් දැන් කලින් පෙම්වතිය දැන් ජීවත් ව නැති නමුත් ඇයගේ දුක තවමත් දැනෙන වග පද පේලීයෙ අවසානයේ ඇති සුදු කමිස උරහිසට රිදුනා යන්නෙන් අදහස් වේ...

මෙම කොටස පිරිමියා විසින් කියනු ලබන්නේ නව පෙම්වතියටයි. 

පලමු ප්‍රේමයේ පරාජයෙන් පසු තමන් පරාජය වී ඇති බවත් ඒ පරාජිත ලෝකයේ තමන් ට පරාද වීම සිටින්න දෙන්නයි ඇයගෙන් ඉල්ලයි.

සිංහල භාශාවේ නිල්පාට සලකන්නෙ පිවිතුරු බවේ වර්ණය ලෙසයි. කටරොළු මල සලකන්නේ ගැහැනියකගේ ඊට සමාන ඉංද්‍රියකි. ( විවාහය තෙක් පිවිතුරු විය යුතු යැයි සලකන තම ලිංගික ඉංද්‍රියයි. ) 


ඉතින් මේ නව පෙම්වතිය විවාහයකින් තොරව මෙම පිරිමියා සමඟ එකතු වී ඇති බව මෙහිදී කියවේ..  නමුත් පරණ පෙම්වතියගේ මතකයන් මකා දැමිය නොහැකි නිසා නව පෙම්වතියගේ කිසි දේක රසයක් නොලබන බව පිරිමියා ඇයට කියනු ලබයි .


තනිය හුරු මට මගේ ලෝකේ

තනිය තනි නොකරන්න තිබුණා

එදා ඔය ඇස් දිහා නොබලම

බිම බලාගෙන යන්න තිබුණා


මේ සියල්ල අවසානයේ නව පෙම්වතිය පවසන්නෙ මෙවන් පිරිමියෙක් දිහා නොබලාම සිටියා නම් මගේ පිවිතුරු බව ත් පිවිතුරු හදක ප්‍රේමයත් දෙකම ලැබෙන බවයි.


පිරිමියකුගේ ආදරය මැද ගැහැණියක ගේ අසරණ වූ ආදරය ගැන මෙම මතක ගීතයෙන් කියවේ...

 This section shows that this woman is suffering a lot mentally as she is unable to say certain words even though she is waiting to be told.  Also, this part says that the man keeps his head on his shirt and cries even though he does not feel it.


 What we understand here is that this woman is not a living person at the moment.

 The man sings this part in response to the woman's lament.  Here he says that this relationship had not even lasted long before he had given her so much grief.  However, the ex-girlfriend is no longer alive, but her grief is still felt, which means that the white shirt at the end of the line hurts her shoulder ...

 Official in a blue bean flower

 It could have been given to a budding mind


 This part is said by the man to the new girlfriend.

 He says that he has lost after the defeat of the first love and asks her to allow him to remain defeated in that defeated world.

 In Sinhala, blue is considered as the color of purity.  The bean is considered a similar organ of a woman.  (His sexuality, which he considers to be chaste until marriage.)


 So it is said that this new girlfriend has joined this man without getting married .. but the man tells her that the new girlfriend will not taste anything as the memories of the old girlfriend cannot be erased.
